If you are registering on behalf of someone else in your club can you please ensure they can comply with the requirements below and that you register them using their own name(s) and email address(s). The course is now being delivered through the Zoom app so if you are interested in taking part you will need to have the Zoom app on your phone or laptop. Once you have confirmed your attendance our tutor will email you the registration link in advance of the course. We will email you a PDF of the Safeguarding 1 handout and a Values & Scenarios Exercises PDF which you will need to have access to for the duration of the course. You have to be online 10-15mins before training starts as you will have to be admitted to the waiting room. Each person will need to use their own independent device . So strictly one device per person and no sharing regardless of same club or family.People cannot swap in and out if someone can't attend late in the day. The name of each person who registers must tally with the name they display on the screen to ensure the right people are in attendance.
- If you are aged between 16 and 18 you must have written permission from a parent/guardian which must be provided to you your club/organisation and this must be kept on file by the club/organisation in case any issues arise. N.B. - Cameras must be left on at all times during the training.
Refunds for cancellations will only be considered if a minimum of 48 hours is given.

SAFEGUARDING REFRESHER: Please bear in mind that Safeguarding 1 Courses have to be refreshed every 3 years. The next refresher (ie 6 years after original course) must be completed by attending a Face to Face course.
Garda Vetting: As and from 29th April 2016, Garda Vetting is a legal requirement. The onus is on each Affiliate to Horse Sport Ireland to identify persons and positions needing vetting and to ensure your organisation is compliant with the legislative requirements. • Vetting is available to you all through Horse Sport Ireland, and is a key component in our Safeguarding Policies and Procedures and in the promotion of best practice in Child Welfare.
