About The Role
To coach riding school clients and maintain good relationships. To care for the Riding school clients and horses, ensuring they are well prepared for their role in the lessons. This is a physical and highly rewarding position, requiring dedication, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to helping others.

An ability to develop a good positive working relationship with fellow staff and volunteers.
Duties:
Riding instructor
Teaching children and adults, individually or as a group, to ride horses.
Planning and Organising Of Activities and Resources
· Plan lessons efficiently and effectively.
· Understand the importance of good time management for themselves and in particular how this translates to organising their assigned workload.
· Deal with unexpected scenarios under supervision with persistence and flexibility to ensure the achievement of goals.
· Maintain a disciplined and professional level of performance under sustained or situational pressure.
Horse Welfare
Ensure that all horses are well cared for. This will involve all aspects of stable / yard duties.
Team Working
· Actively contribute to effective team working.
· Attend and actively contributes to team meetings.
· Participate in training and development opportunities as identified and agreed.
· To ensure close communication and liaison with other members of staff.
Initiative
· Take initiative to move the business forward and show a willingness to try out new ideas under supervision that add value.
· Show enthusiasm and a high level of motivation in completing work. Building and maintaining working relationships.

· Be aware of and practice the correct use of all equipment.
· Ensure all accidents / incidents are reported and documented in keeping with the company policies and procedures.

· Ensure that a high standard of personal professionalism is maintained at all times and in all aspects of work.

· Participate in the induction of new staff as required.
· You shall not (except in the proper course of your duties), divulge to any person whatever or otherwise make use of any confidential information concerning the business or any of its transactions client databases and reports.
· Adhere to the collection of data and record keeping in accordance with agreed procedures.
Key Requirements
· Minimum BHS stage 2 with Professional coach 1 or equivalent.
· Ability to work at a physical job and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· A genuine passion for working with people and horses, with a positive and supportive attitude.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
· Ability to tailor lessons to meet client needs and adjust to varying challenges.
· Valid Riding instructor qualification.

Terms and Conditions:
Reporting to: Chief Instructor.
Annual leave entitlement is 20 days per annum.

Pay: The Starting salary is €32,000 per year to be paid monthly.
Probation: A probationary period of 6 months applies. The probationary period may be extended or terminated for any reason at blackberry stables discretion.
