Our Story

A.I.R.E was originally set up in 1974

The roles and functions of AIRE include promoting the sport of amateur horse riding.

The roles and functions of AIRE include promoting the sport of amateur horse riding, representing, developing and encouraging the observance of the highest standards of quality and service in the management and operation of horse riding establishments and the provision of services and facilities ancillary or incidental thereto.

On behalf of our members, AIRE liases, consults and cooperates with bodies and individuals that have similar or associated interests. In addition, we promote the study, practice and knowledge of principles and methods relating to amateur equitation matters generally and employ teachers and instructors. AIRE provides for and arranges the holding of shows, exhibitions, conferences and public meetings and supports the sport of horse-riding with awards, prizes, endowments and grants.
