The Old Farm Equestrian Centre is owned and run by Gerard Kavanagh, a qualified and registered Instructor with the British Horse Society.
Just three miles from the village of Ashford, in County Wicklow, the Old Farm is a 50 acre farm nestled in the Wicklow Mountains with direct access into state forestry for trekking and hacking.
Gerard gives both private and group lessons in Dressage and show jumping and the centre has a lovely range of quality horses and ponies, ranging from 118 cm to 188 cm.
Gerard teaches on a daily basis at the Old Farm and his pupils range in age from six to sixty six years. He is a very popular Instructor and Dressage Judge at the Wicklow & Bray Pony Clubs and the Riding Club events and competitions.
The purpose built Equestrian Centre and livery yard comprises of the following:
- 11 stables 14 x 14ft stone built with slate roof – opening into a courtyard
- Indoor arena 20 x 40 meters
- Outdoor arena 30 x 60 meters·
- Secure tack room
- Post & railed paddocks
